About a year ago, I got an email from bride to be Keri. We hit it off immedicatley, mainly because she is possibly the most laid back bride - EVER and a sweet and sarcastic girl (two of my favortie qualities!). A few months later we did engagement photos for her and Josh (they were on the blog back then!). From start to finish, everything was casual, easy and fun! I promise boys - engagement sessions aren't that painful!
Fast forward a few months to the night before the big day! Keri and Josh had an awesome beach bonfire planned for a rehersal dinner, buut mother nature had other plans.
The next morning, 9-9-12 we woke up to beautiful, sunny skies - the perfect day for a beach wedding! Everyone got ready at the Bungalow Hotel, a funky, unique little spot!
Naturally, Keri looked Ah-Maz-Ing! It was a short walk right up the street to McLoones Pier House, where both the ceremony and the reception were held. McLoones is an amazing venue. The reception room mixes a unique beach and industrial feel that just seems to work. The entire side facing the beach is all open windows, with a section that literally opens up so fresh air can come in. It's like half of your reception is on a balcony. It's beautiful. The food and the staff were stellar also!
The ceremony was short, sweet and sentimental - a great mix! We stayed on the beach and went under the boardwalk a bit for some amazing portraits of the family and newlyweds. Then FINALLY after all their hard work - it was off to the party!
The night ended with EVERYONE crowding around Keri and Josh dancing and singing... a perfect end to a perfect night. Keri and Josh and Miss Ryan - I hope every day brings you as much love and laughter as you felt on this night. Thank you for trusting me (and Mike!) to be there to capture it all - from the big moments to the little details!
