Here is what Marcie has to say about makeup for glamour style photos:

Glamour Makeup For Portrait Photos

There are a few different ways to apply makeup for photos. If you want more glamour type photos then follow these simple steps below.

More Makeup!!!

You will probably think you that you are wearing too much but remember that the lights take away from whatever amount of makeup you have on so don't worry. You want to put on more makeup than even if you were going out for the evening.

The first step is to moisturize your face thoroughly and then begin with concealer. Your concealer for photos should be two or three shades lighter than your skin tone. Concealer is used to hide blemishes and any discoloration. It's most commonly used to lighten under your eyes.

Next, use a foundation and evenly apply it all over your face. Match the foundation to your chin and neckline. You don't want your face to be a different color than your neck and chest.

After your foundation is finished, apply the rest of your makeup as you normally do but in heavier amounts for the camera. Make sure to blend. You should never have distinct lines of makeup on your face.

Powder Girlfriends!!! POWDER! Do not to forget the powder! Because powder is an absolutely must, to achieving that beautiful matte finish which is always present in a great portrait. Even if you never use powder, please use it during your portrait session. Powder makes the difference between a perfect portrait and just a portrait.

Make sure your lip color is a shade darker and your lip liner is the same shade or very similar.

Generally if you want to go with a more dramatic lip then go lighter on the eyes and vice versa.

Ok I forgot I had two notes and I only sent u one....

Try and stay away from shimmer or at least a very shimmery shadow because any shimmery/reflective shadow will be picked up by the digital format of the camera. It may come out way too shimmery in the photos, unless you like looking like a disco ball. I'm all for shimmer but try not to over do it.

Don't forget about false lashes! You want those eyes to pop. They generally run $3-$5 and can be picked up at Walmart or any pharmacy.

You also may want to do your eyeshadow first. That way you can blend, blend, blend and not worry about any shadow falling on your freshly made up face.

Ladies, please do your brows! It is so very important and something that not women do. It frames your face and makes a huge difference. All you need is an eyeshadow that is similar to your hair color. You won't regret it, promise!

Now if you see a blemish forming the day of or a day or two before your photo sesh, grab a wash cloth and some milk. Soak the washcloth in milk, throw it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes and then apply to your problem area. Redness should go down.

Get plenty of Rest the night before and sleep slightly elevated so your eyes don't get puffy.

Most importantly let your true beauty shine through.

Here is just ONE example of Marcie's work.
