"All of it" Ocean County Photography
I have so many fun and styled shoots coming up once the weather breaks a bit. I have been a DIYDiva making all kinds of great things, hitting thrift stores looking for items I can re-make, scouring estate sales for vintage trunks and countless other original and amazing props. I am really excited to share all of my upcoming sessions with all of you!
I bought scrabble tiles to play around with for photos about two months ago, but the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself. I saw it on pinterest over the summer, I would love to take the credit for it but I’ll admit – I saw it online. Regardless, I love it! Today I had a serious creative itch and was playing around with my camera, and this is one of MANY things I did.
All of it.
That may not sound like much to someone else, but it is everything to me and the hubs. My little brother Spencer would yell up the stairs “Sissy, I loooove you” and I would yell back “How much?” and every single time he would reply “All of it”. Spencer was born when I was 16, so every little thing he did I was smitten with. I never experienced that annoying sibling thing most people go through. I have twin brothers that were born when I was 21. Since I am much older than them, I have always been able to appreciate them in a special way.
The hubs and I started dating when I was 18 years old, and always hearing Spencer say “All of it” became something we said often. I am not overly sappy, and “All of it” seemed to say it all so simply.
When we got married 5 years after we started dating, we knew that “All of it” had to be engraved in our wedding bands. I ended up picking out some pretty fancy bands that couldn’t be engraved, so we put it in my engagement ring instead. Lucky for me, out of the 10 rings he tried, the one he picked was steel and only $56 dollars. I do love a bargain….
Fast forward a few years and “All of it” is still as important to me today as it was then. This photo is from a friend’s wedding we were in about 3 years ago. I know it’s a little hard to see, but I do believe we are belting out Don’t Stop Believen’ by Journey. And yes, we are using his beer as a microphone. Our dance moves are serious should make most people jealous.
This is who we are. We love to laugh, sing, dance, joke, have a few drinks now and again, kick back and have fun. If the sun is shining (and often when it’s not) and the temperature is anything above 70 you can always find us in flip flops in our awesome backyard tiki bar listening to great music, grilling, and enjoying time just the two of us or with a slew of friends.
As a photographer my clients let me in on some of the most important parts of their lives. “All of it” and a simple story about my brothers may not seem like much to others, but they are something very personal and important to me. I wanted to give you a peek into my life, to help those of you who don’t know me see just a small fraction of who I am. : )
