November 2013 Boudior Sessions!

When: Saturday 11/16/13 and Monday 11/18/13

Where: A beautiful, private estate in the Manahawkin area.

Times: Scheduled appointments from 9-4 Saturday and 10-1 Monday

How much: $325 plus tax. $147.75 due to hold your time slot via check or paypal (info in contract you get). $200 balance due in cash day of session. Marcie and Kelly of True Beauty will be doing hair and makeup! The price includes professional photo ready hair, makeup, 20 minutes of photography, and 10 retouched images. You will need to come 1 hour before your photography time slot to get your hair and makeup done. If you are late, that time will come out of your allotted hair/make up/photography time. PLEASE make sure you are on time.

What happens if I made a retainer payment but can’t make the day of? Payments are not refundable or transferable. Due to the cost of renting the estate, securing hair and make up ect, there is no refund.

Should I tip the girls doing hair and makeup? You don’t have to, but if they did a great job (I am sure they will, they are rockstars!) it isn’t a bad idea!

When will the photos be ready? You will get them for digital download via drop box in about 2 weeks. You can use them as you please!

What should I wear? you can bring lingerie, his white button up, tie, favorite sports jersey, your wedding veil, suspenders, a fedora hat, sky high heels, pearls, cowboy boots…. Really what ever makes you feel good!

I am self conscious about my body, should I still do this? That is your choice. We will talk about your favorite features and we will focus on those. We can get creative and stay away from the areas that aren’t your favorite.

Will there be a lot of people there? Yes. But our session will be private. It’s an estate, girls will be coming in, getting hair and make up done, hanging out, snacking, drinking, chatting, ect. Your session will be in a private area. It will be me and you. If another friend booked with you, they are welcome to come up and be in the room for encouragement if you want! Sometimes a glass of wine and a best friend can work wonders! Please do not bring people who have not scheduled with you. This is for LFP clients ONLY.

Who sees these images? Me and you. That’s it.

Can you make me look skinny? Your body is your body, you are beautiful. We will work within your comfort zone and pose you in the most flattering way.

Do I have to get naked? Absolutely not. You can, as long as it’s tasteful. This isn’t hustler magazine, but we can do whatever you want! Boudoir is about having fun, feeling and looking fabulous!

Can I bring examples of photos I want done and hair and make up I like? Yup!

What else can I expect? Lots of girls, laughter, music, encouragement, light snacks, drinks (I will have some; feel free to bring your favorites!) and good times!

Alex and Abby :: MARRIED:: Sea Oaks Wedding Photography

I love Christmas weddings.  Everything is decorated, everyone is a little extra warm and fuzzy.  It's great!

Alex and Abby are from NJ and now living in Colorado. I am fortunate enough to know Alex's sisters and kind of love them!  The ceremony was held at St Theresa in Little Egg Harbor and just may be my favorite local church to work in, it's gorgeous!

Next we moved on to Sea Oaks where they had an amazing cocktail hour and went right into dinner and dancing!  Alex and Abby are so genuine together, I hope all your days together are as happy as your first!

Trisha and Adriel *MARRIED* Sea Oaks Wedding

Trisha and Adriel LUCKED OUT a little snow on the ground but not enough to hinder travel!  They had an intimate ceremony and reception at Sea Oaks in Tuckerton. Even in January they had an amazing sunset!

Besides the freezing cold temps (that actually caused my camera to freeze up!) they entire day went great from start to finish!

Marcie and Matt's Destanation Wedding - Hard Rock Hotel Domican Rebuplic Wedding

Marcie and Matt decided to get hitched at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Dominican Republic... I was OVER THE MOON when they asked me to join them.  Fun, Sun, Sand, Drinks and some of the awesomest people I know - COUNT ME IN.

After a few bumps in the road getting there (international customs, a building fire, passport problems, a man carrying a washing machine on a scooter and the donkey I almost had to ride to get there) we had an EPIC time!

Marcie is my GO TO girl for hair and makeup - 90% of the girls I work with use her.  Shes amazing and very shy. Ha, that was a lie. If you have met her you know why shy and Marcie don't ever belong in the same scentence. EVER. From weaves to waterproof mascara - she's got you.

The night before the wedding we all went out and ended up with several men dressed as Lady Gaga and a midget in a light up suit, it was an interesting night to say the least.

We woke up the morning of the wedding to perfect blue skies and the most AMAZING weather any bride could ever ask for. As always Marcie looked stunning and Matt didn't look too shabby either.   Her toes-in-the-sand wedding went off with out a hitch.

The night ended with a recption full of very classy dancing by all and hardly any drinks. Again, Im lying.  They were awesome.  I actually still reference the cool factor of her guests. They are so cool I wouldnt even mind having jury duty with them.

Ashley and Cain, Surf City Yacht Club Wedding LBI NJ

Ashley, Cain and their crew were AWESOME! Mother Nature tried to foil our plans, but we were able to get photos and the outdoor ceremony done with no real rain! 

Ashley and Cain rented a house on LBI where everyone stayed for the week and got ready. The morning prep went smooth and everything was on track.  Ashley slipped into her AMAZING gown and the rest fell into place. We headed down to Barnegat Light for portraits and made it back to the Surf City Yacht club in plenty of time to have Shore Fire Grille and Catering feed us all kinds of great things.

My favorite moment of their ceremony was the kiss... look closely, those are tears. Swoon.

After the I dos we headed upstairs to cocktail hour and went RIGHT into the party!

2013 Christmas Mini Sessions FAQ!

I know, I know- It’s only August! Why am I talking Christmas?  Because it’s right around the corner! 131 days!  I do Christmas mini sessions in October on one specific day only.  These sessions (20 of them) usually fill in about a week.  If payment is not received in the allotted time, that spot then opens again for someone else to book.

I have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions. If you email me with questions and I respond with this link please understand that it only means your question is answered here.  I promise I am not trying to be rude!  Fall is the busiest time of year for LFP and I get flooded with emails daily.  I try and make things as simple and straight forward as possible!

 

 

1.       How do I book?

Email leanna@leannafisherphotography.com PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME ON FACEBOOK.  Between minis and boudoir sessions being booked at the same time it gets a little overwhelming. To keep organized I need it all in my email!   If there is a time of day you prefer, please let me know in your initial email. If not, you will simply be assigned a time. Please take into consideration your little one’s nap and feeding times!

 

2.       What happens if it rains?

We have a rain date as Sunday, the next day.  Watch Facebook for updates on weather issues!

 

3.       What if I can’t make the rain date?

Unfortunately your schedule needs to be ok with either. This is the only weekend I have free in October with mass sections of time blocked off. Your payment is not refundable. If you can’t make the rain date and want to send another family in your exact time slot, go for it!

 

4.       When do I pay?

At the time of booking. You email me, we decide on a time, I email you a contract and you make payment of $144.45 ($135 +tax) via check or paypal with in 10 days. On the 10^th day your spot is back up for grabs if you have not made payment. (all this info is in your contract)

 

5.       Do you have props?

I sure do!  I encourage you to bring your own also! Blankets, signs, hats, anything fun!

 

6.       Is this only for families?

Nope!  Lots of couples do this also!

 

7.       Where is the location?

KC Creations is an AWESOME local store. They have all kinds of decorative items.  The location (next to South Jersey Weed Control) is awesome!  Drive into the back of the parking lot, and you will find us! 424 Main St West Creek, NJ.  Don’t forget to check out the store on your way out!

 

8.       How long is the session?

20 minutes.  It may sound short, but I promise it’s plenty!

 

9.       When and how do I get my images?

You will have them in 2 weeks (PLEASE don’t email me and ask for them sooner!  I send as soon as they are done, so it may be less than two weeks!) via a free service called dropbox direct to your email. Your contract is your print release, you can make cards, print and use on facebook as you want!  I suggest Simple Statements on facebook for cards!

 

10.   What should we wear!

Ahhhhhh, the famous question!  I get this ALL THE TIME!  Check out pinterest and google for TONS of ideas and even the what to wear section of this blog!

LFP's first ever Beginners Camera Course! 7/24/13

I have been getting tons of emails about people wanting to learn how to use their DSLR camera! I am offering a beginner course at Manahawkin Lake with only 10 slots available. This 3 hour class from 530-830 PMwill cover the "basics", help you understand what all the dials on your camera mean, some basic terminology and then real time practice!

If this class goes well, LFP will be offering a full da of learning to shoot in manual and ending with a styled session!
